Justyna completed her medical degree at the University of Silesia, Poland (MD). After medical school she was drawn to research and started her scientific career at Macquarie University, before starting her paediatric training in Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, both Randwick and at Westmead Children’s Hospitals. Her main interests are cystic and congenital conditions, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and kidney transplantation. She has worked in nephrology in Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick, and after switching focus from adults to children, in Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Monash Children’s Hospital and Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. She also completed fellowships in Rural General paediatrics and in Clinical Trials.
Justyna is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Paediatric Nephrology and General Paediatrics. She is a member of International Paediatric Nephrology Association (IPNA), International paediatric transplant association (IPTA) and regional nephrology associations including European (ESPN) and Australian (ANZSN). She is involved in research activities in Royal Children’s Hospital, where
she works as an Honorary Nephrologist, and Macquarie University, conducting studies as a research fellow. She works as a staff specialist in paediatric nephrology in Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Justyna can also provide consultations from General Paediatrics.
