Dr S. Soundappan

Dr Soundappan is a General Paediatric Surgeon. He completed his undergraduate training from Madras Medical College, India in 1989. He completed his Paediatric Surgery training from The Institute of Child Health, Chennai in 1996 and moved to Sydney in 2002.

Dr Soundappan obtained a fellowship in Paediatric Surgery from Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2008. He is Head of Trauma at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Senior Lecturer in Paediatric Surgery at The University of Sydney.

His PhD in Surgeon performing ultrasound in Children was conferred in 2021 from University of Sydney. He has over 50 peer reviewed publications.
